Apple Unveils its Latest M4-Powered MacBook Air Laptop Globally and in India: 16GB of Base RAM, New Sky Blue Color, and Reduced Pricing

After the much awaited iPhone 16e smartphone launch, the Cupertino-based tech maker – Apple very recently launched its 7th Gen iPad Air and 11th Gen iPad tablet models. Now, the brand has also launched its latest MacBook Air laptop powered by the brand’s M4 chip, along with more key features such as a base model with 16GB RAM, a new Sky Blue color variant, and reduced price points.

Apple MacBook Air With M4 Chip Unveiled

Apple’s MacBook Air is considered to be the brand’s most popular laptop model, and it has now been launched with the M4 chip, with 10 CPU cores and up to 10 GPU cores. The base model has 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, which can be further configured with up to 32GB RAM and up to 2TB storage. Also, the latest M4-powered MacBook Air is capable of delivering 18 hours of battery life.

Speaking more, there are two size variants for the MacBook Air laptop – 13″ and 15″ models. Both these models feature Liquid Retina displays that support up to 500 nits of peak brightness, and offer users with 13.6″ and 15.3″ display screen sizes respectively. Other notable specs include the new 12MP Center Stage camera, Touch ID, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Apple Intelligence (yet to roll out for English – India), two external display support (up to 6K), two Thunderbolt ports, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and MagSafe charging.

Pricing and Availability

The base models of Apple’s MacBook Air M4 – 13″ and 15″ variants are priced at USD 999 and USD 1,199 respectively. In India, they carry price tags of INR 99,900 (student price – 89,900) and INR 1,24,900 (student price – INR 1,14,900). Additionally for Indian customers, up t0 24 months no-cost EMI and INR 10,000 instant cashback on selected credit cards are also offered as benefits.

The latest MacBook Air laptop can be purchased in four color choices – Silver, Starlight, Midnight, and the new Sky Blue color. Currently the pre-order for the MacBook Air M4 laptop models are live, and it will be made available within a week, starting from the 12th of March 2025.
