On Monday, 4 March 2024, Apple unveiled their new 14-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air, which now features the powerful M3 chipset. The MacBook Air, which has been a favorite ever since it was first introduced, will now be available with the M3 chipset from Friday, 8 March 2024. It is now available for pre-orders in India.
The new MacBook Air will be available in four colour options midnight, starlight, space gray, and silver.
The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air with M3 chipset can provide a battery life of about 18 hours. They feature a mesmerizing Liquid Retina display. They can also offer external displays and are now equipped with 2x faster Wi-Fi compared to the previous generations.
The new MacBook Air is equipped with an 8-core CPU and up to 10-core GPU. It supports up to 24 GB of unified memory. With the M3 chipset, the MacBook Air has gained up to 60 times faster speed than the model with the M1 chipset, and up to 13 times faster speed than the model with the Intel chipset.
The 13-inch model starts from a price of Rs 114900 and goes up to Rs 154900. The price distribution for the 13-inch model variants is as follows:
- 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 8 GB Unified Memory, 256 GB SSD storage at Rs 114900.
- 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8 GB Unified Memory, 512 GB SSD storage at Rs 134900.
- 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16 GB Unified Memory, 512 GB SSD storage at Rs 154900.
The 15-inch model starts from a price of Rs 134900 and goes up to Rs 174900. The price distribution for the 15-inch model variants are as follows:
- 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8 GB Unified Memory, 256 GB SSD storage at Rs 134900.
- 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8 GB Unified Memory, 512 GB SSD storage at Rs 154900.
- 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16 GB Unified Memory, 512 GB SSD storage at Rs 174900.
