ASUS launches ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 gaming laptops with updated design, and OLED display

One of the world’s biggest tech shows CES 2024 has commenced in Las Vegas. Tech brands don’t want to miss this moment and are using the stage to unveil their best product. Similarly, ASUS Republic of Gamers launched two redesigned gaming laptops, Zephyrus G14, and Zephyrus G16 at CES 2024.

These laptops have a new aluminum case thus making them lighter, an LED strip on the back panel, and a combination of AMD Ryzen 8000 APUs and Intel Meteor Lake processors.

Specs and design

The laptops use a new CNC machined aluminum body that gives it strength and lightweight. It comes in a moon-white and Gray color scheme. If we talk about weight and thickness the G14 is 0.62 inches thick and weighs 3.3 pounds while the G16 is 0.58 inches thick and weighs 4 pounds.

Both of the gaming laptops feature ROG Nebula displays composed of OLED displays and support 16:10 aspect ratio, VESA DisplayHDR, True Black 500, and 1000000:1 contrast ratio. The Zephyrus G14 display sports a 120 Hz refresh rate and supports 3K resolution while the Zephyrus G16 sports up to 240Hz refresh rate and 2.5K resolution. It home reported that the laptops are equipped with a new OLED screen with strong colour expression, and support G Sync anti-tear technology.

The Zephyrus G14 comes with the AMD Ryzen 8000 series alongside the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics chip. If we talk about the Zephyrus 16, its additional case size allows the ASUS Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor too, along with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU. As of now, the company has not revealed the price and availability of the Zephyrus 14 and Zephyrus 16.
