Honor MagicBook X14 Plus and MagicBook X16 Plus 2024 Laptops Announced in China

The Chinese consumer electronics maker, Honor, has introduced the MagicBook X14 Plus and MagicBook X16 Plus 2024 laptops. These newly unveiled devices have been announced in the brand’s home country – China and their full specifications are now known.

Honor MagicBook X14 Plus and MagicBook X16 Plus 2024 Models

Honor’s MagicBook X14 Plus 2024 and MagicBook X16 Plus 2024 are powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, and have the AMD Radeon 780M GPU. The two have the Windows 11 Home Chinese Version operating system onboard, and is offered in 16GB/512GB and 32GB/1TB storage options (LPDDR5).

As pointed out from their names, the MagicBook X14 Plus 2024 and MagicBook X16 Plus 2024 devices feature IPS display screens with sizes of 14″ and 16″ respectively, and have other display specs such as 16:10 aspect ratio, 178° viewing angle, 1200:1 contrast ratio, 100% sRGB color gamut, and 430 nits brightness rate. Also to note, the latest X14 Plus 2024 model has resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and screen density of 243 PPI, while the X16 Plus 2024 model offers lesser 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution and lower 189 PPI screen density.

Both models share other specs such as a full-sized backlit keyboard, 5-point touchpad, 720P HD front camera, camera light indicator, dual speakers, dual microphones, and a fingerprint power button. Connectivity features like Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax (2.4GHz and 5GHz dual band support), Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB type-C and USB type-A ports, HDMI port, and a 3.5 mm headphone and microphone 2-in-1 port are also part of the two latest models.

Coming to the build, the two laptops are made with a combination of aluminum alloy and plastic materials. Opening & closing angles of 150° and screen-to-body-ratio of 89% are also features on the two. The MagicBook X14 Plus 2024 measures 313.2 x 221.6 x 15.9 mm in size and weighs a total of 1.34 kg, whereas the MagicBook X16 Plus 2024 has a dimension of 356.2 x 250.1 x 17.9 mm and weight of 1.79 kg.

The batteries equipped within the two are also different. A larger 75Wh battery is backed within the MagicBook X16 Plus 2024, while the MagicBook X14 Plus 2024 only pack a smaller 60Wh battery. The two laptops charges quickly and in 30 minutes can be charged to up to 37% and 45% respectively from 0%. It will take 2 hours to fully charge the 16″ model, on the other hand the 14″ model only require 1.5 hours to get fully charged.
