Huawei has been constantly focused on its Matebook family of laptops. Last year the company announced a new version called Matebook D 14 2022 that relied on the Core i5 or Core i7. The Matebook D 14 2022 came with some advanced features and fair few changes inside. Now it appears that the company is planning to release the 2023 model soon as the device has started making its appearance on certification websites.
HUAWEI Matebook D 14 2023 14-inch i5 was spotted on the TDRA website with model number MDF-W5851.
From the database on the website, not much is revealed about the specifications but from the product name it could be concluded that the tablet will be coming with a 14-inch display and will rely on Core i5 just like the previous year’s model.
Huawei has still not made any official announcement regarding the launch of this device but as the Matebook D 14 2022 made its debut first in China, it is expected that the 2023 model could also be first unveiled in China. Though we still need to wait for confirmation from the company.

It featured a 14-inch IPS display with 250 nits peak brightness and 84% screen-to-body ratio. The laptop measured 322.5 x 214.8 x 15.9 mm and weighs 1.38 kg. It relied on a 12th Gen Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor and was equipped with a 56 Wh battery. The connectivity options include USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB Type-C, HDMI Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5 mm jack. It offers 8/16 GB RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.
The laptop operates on Windows 11 Home and is equipped with dual microphones and speakers. It packs a 720P HD camera and comes with a 65 W power adapter.
