Microsoft Officially Unveils Its First Cloud-Based Mini PC: Windows 365 Link
Yesterday Microsoft officially unveiled its first desktop PC- Windows 365 Link that is designed to exclusively run Windows 11 via the cloud with Windows 365. This device resembles the Apple Mac Mini M4 in terms of design.
Microsoft Windows 365 Link: Features
It features a fanless design that boots in seconds and wakes instantly from sleep. It can output up to two 4K displays and features three USB-A ports, one USB-C port, an audio jack, an Ethernet jack, DisplayPort, and an HDMI port. It also supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. It houses an Intel processor with 8GB RAM and 64GB storage.
Windows 365 Link is aimed exclusively at enterprise customers. Organizations using Windows 365 with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID and meeting existing Windows 365 requirements are eligible to use this device. It does not store users’ data or run apps locally but it does have minimal applicable configuration policies. The device can deliver secure productivity in shared workspaces, including hot desks, call centers, reception desks, labs, and more. It offers passwordless authentication using Microsoft Entra IDA. It includes features like Secure Boot, a dedicated Trusted Platform Module, hypervisor code integrity, BitLocker encryption, and Microsoft Defender. The device measures 120x120x30mm.

This device will be made available for purchase next year in April. It is priced at $349.
