MSI introduces AI ready laptops for gaming and it’s first gaming handheld- Claw A1M at CES 2024
The laptop brand MSI has officially unveiled its latest AI powered laptops lineup with NPU built-in Intel Core Ultra processors. Apart from this, the brand has introduced its gaming handheld- Claw A1M which is the world’s first handheld equipped with the Intel Core Ultra processor, and also launched a series of 18” laptops featuring Intel 14th Gen HX-series processors.
New 18-inch Gaming laptops: Titan 18 HX/ Raider 18 HX/ Stealth 18 AI Studio
These laptops feature the world’s first 18-inch mini LED display that offers 4K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, DisplayHDR 1000, and a wide color gamut. Titan 18 HX and Raider 18 HX are equipped with Intel 14th Gen Core i9 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics whereas the Stealth 18 AI studio is equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors. Titan 18 HX supports MSI OverBoost Ultra and delivers the industry’s first 270W total power while Raider 18 HX provides 250W full total power.
Titan 18 HX features the world’s first seamless RGB Haptic Touchpad and a revamped Cherry Switch Mechanical keyboard. It includes three M.2 SSD slots while redesigned Raider 18 HX
Full power Gaming laptops: Vector HX/ Crosshair HX/ Pulse AI
Vector 17 HX is equipped with MSI Overboost technology that provides a total power output of 250W. Crosshair HX and Pulse AI series laptops feature a total of 6 exhaust and 2 intake ports while Crosshair 16/17 HX and Pulse 16/17 AI models feature a 24-zone RGB keyboard backlight. Vector 16/17 HX is equipped with an Intel Core i9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics, Crosshair 17/16 HX is equipped with an Intel Core i7 processor and equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series whereas Pulse 16/17 AI is equipped with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics.
Mainstream Gamer series: Sword HX/ Cyborg/ Thin 15
Some of the key highlights of these gaming laptops are- Sword 16/17 HX offers an immersive gaming experience and arrives with a 24-zone RGB backlight keyboard, Cyborg 15 AI arrives with the latest Intel Core Ultra processor while Cyborg 14 is an accessible 14-inch alternative for users seeking style and functionality. Thin 15 on the other hand, presents a sleek gaming option with a portable design and translucent WASD blue backlit keyboard.
Thin and Powerful productivity: Prestige 16 AI/ Prestige 14 AI/ Prestige 13 AI
Prestige AI series is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors. Prestige 16 AI houses a robust 99.9WHr battery that offers 19hrs battery life. Prestige 14 AI boosts 90Whrs battery. Prestige 13 AI Evo boosts 75WHrs battery. Both 14-inch and 16-inch models support up to PD 3.1 140W charging while both versions feature NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPU. Both Prestige 16 AI and Prestige 13 AI Evo feature 16:10 OLED displays with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
Content Creation series: Creator Z17 HX Studio/ Creator 16 AI Studio/ Creator M16 HX/ Creator M14
The most powerful laptop in this lineup is Creator Z17 HX which features a vapor chamber cooler thermal design. Creator 16 AI Studio features a 16:10 OLED display. MSI has also introduced Creator 14 and Creator M16 HX both of which are equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series. Creator M16 HX features up to an Intel Core i9 processor while M114 features an Intel Core I7 processor. This series provides creators with a wider range of choices as per their requirements and needs.
World’s first Meteor Lake-powered gaming handheld: Claw A1M
This is MSI’s first gaming handheld and is powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor and features Intel XeSS technology. It is equipped with MSI Cooler Boost Hyperflow thermal technology that ensures optimal gaming performance even in the palm of the user’s hand. It boosts 53Whr battery capacity which provides 2-hour battery life. It features a new UI-friendly design and supports MSI APP Player that lets you access Windows as well as Android games. It sports a 7-inch FHD touchscreen display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
Till now MSI has only unveiled these devices at CES 2024 and shared their detailed specifications in their press release but the pricing and availability details have yet to be disclosed.
