LG to introduce it’s smart home AI agent that boasts robotic, AI and multi-modal technologies at CES 2024
Have you ever wished for someone who helps you with household chores or takes care of your house when you are not around? Well the consumer electronics manufacturer brand LG will soon be unveiling such a device which will not only solve the above problems but also help in making your day-to-day tasks super easy and fun.
LG has officially announced that it will be unveiling its innovative Smart Home AI Agent at CES 2024 which be held from 9th January to 12th January.
Wondering what this smart home AI Agent is all about?
This device is said to function as a moving smart home hub that connects with and controls smart home appliances and household IoT devices using robotic, AI, and multi-modal technologies. With the help of its two-legged design, it can navigate the home independently can also verbally interact with users, and understand context and intentions with the help of voice and image recognition.
This AI agent is equipped with Qualcomm Robotics RBS platform that enables face and user recognition. It arrives with a built-in camera, speaker, and various sensors to gather real-time environmental data.
This device can help users in multiple ways like-
- as a pet monitor and security guard providing users with the ability to see and care for their pets remotely and sending alerts on detection of unusual activity.
- Patroling the home when no one is there and sending notifications to the user’s smartphone if it finds an open window or any lights left on
- Conserving energy by connecting with a smart outlet and turning off unused devices
- When user returns home, an AI agent greets them at the front door, observes their emotions by analyzing their face and voice and selects music or other content to suit their mood
- Providing transportation details, weather updates, personal schedules, reminders, or medication timing alerts.
It is said that with the launch of this innovative device, LG will be able to showcase its commitment to its “Zero Labour Home” vision and also aims to liberate users from the burden of housework.
