Alleged iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition’s key specifications tipped before launch

iQOO is reportedly working on the iQOO Z9 series of smartphones for the Chinese market. Additionally, the company is reportedly developing a new phone for China that will use the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station released a Weibo post to leak the key details of what appears to be a new addition to the Neo 9 series.

To recall, iQOO unveiled the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and the Dimensity 9300 chipset, respectively. In a previous Weibo post, the tipster mentioned that the next Neo 9 series will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Hence, it appears that the upcoming device will be positioned between the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro and is likely to be called the iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition. The moniker of the device is yet to be ascertained. Hence, it is advisable to digest the report with a grain of salt.

According to today’s leak, the alleged iQOO Neo 9 Racing Edition will have a 6.78-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels, a 1444Hz refresh rate, and support for 2160Hz PWM dimming.

The rear-facing 50-megapixel dual-camera system will remain unchanged, which means it may inherit the 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera system available on the Neo 9. As per DCS’ previous leak, the device will have a plastic frame, 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and 120W fast charging.
