Alleged Vivo X100 camera specifications tipped
Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo X100 series of smartphones. The X100 Pro+ is expected to debut as one of the first phones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is expected to debut in November. On the other hand, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, are expected to arrive as the first phones powered by the upcoming Dimensity 9300 SoC. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared the camera specifications of the Vivo X100 or X100 Pro.
In a new Weibo post, a tipster mentioned the camera details of an upcoming smartphone without mentioning its name. However, since he mentioned the Dimensity 9300 chip, it seems that the tipster could be talking about the X100.
The tipster revealed that its camera setup includes a Sony IMX9-series 1/1.4x-inch primary camera sensor. It will be complemented by a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B camera, which appears to be a periscope zoom camera. Talking about the primary camera, the tipster said that it will be an upgraded version of the IMX9-series sensor and an upgraded version of the IMX866.
At present, there is no information available about the other specifications of the Vivo X100. As far as the X100 Pro is concerned, DCS revealed last week that its rear camera will include a 1-inch main camera, a new periscope zoom camera, and possibly a 12-megapixel IMX663 ultra-wide lens.
According to a recent leak, Vivo may announce the X100 and 100 Pro this year, but the X100 Pro+ may not launch this year. There is a possibility that the X100 Pro+ and Vivo’s foldable phone, tentatively dubbed the Vivo X Fold 3, may debut in the first quarter of 2024.
