Alleged Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro specifications leaked, tipped to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 5G support

In April, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro tablets in China. The Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipsets power these devices, respectively. These tablets lack support for SIM connectivity. Today, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that Xiaomi might be developing a tablet with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

As can be seen in the below screengrab, the tipster has not mentioned the name of the tablet in the leak. However, it appears that he could be referring to an upcoming Xiaomi tablet based on the information provided.

12.4-inch Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro leak

According to the tipster, the prototype of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered tablet has a round camera module at the top-left corner of the back. It will be a metal-bodied device with slimmer bezels around the display.

The upcoming Xiaomi tablet is expected to offer support for Dolby Vision and may also be available in a 5G variant. It is speculated that this tablet could potentially be a 12.4-inch variation of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro.

It appears that Xiaomi has a major event lined up to take place in late July or August. The event is likely to see the arrival of the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 foldable phone, the Redmi K60 Ultra, and the Redmi Pad 2 tablet. It is likely that the 12.4-inch Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro may break cover during the same event.
