Apple reported to be working on a series of possible future foldables that includes folding hybrid-tablet, Book and Flip phone models
Foldable devices in the smartphone industry have been introduced a few years back and in the past few years, many smartphone brands have introduced their foldable devices. Samsung entered the segment first followed by other rival brands like Vivo, Oppo, Motorola, and Google Pixel meanwhile OnePlus will be soon launching its foldable device. In short, almost all Android smartphone makers have their foldable devices in the market now.
On the one hand where all the Android brands are competing with each other in the foldable segment, whereas on the other hand, Apple has not even introduced a single foldable device yet. Since the demand for foldable devices is increasing day by day and the foldable are attracting a lot of consumers, iPhone users and fans are also somewhere waiting for the company to introduce its foldable device soon. Seems like the wait for iPhone fans is going to be over very soon.
This is because recently Patently Apple has published a report according to which the U.S Patent Office has posted two Apple patents, the first is focused on a flip-style iPhone while in the other application covers a wide range of possible future devices by Apple.
Some of the images are also posted in the report in which a few figures show a perspective view of a scrollable device having a flexible display extended between two housing structures, and a cross-sectional side view of an electronic device with a scrolling flexible display deployed using multiple internal rollers.
While the other figure illustrates an electronic device having double folds which portray that the device may have a number of bend regions, while the other illustrates a teardrop flexible display that allows the display to fold and appear flat
The last figure shows a totally unique concept of two display notebooks device- the base section contains a rigid display that acts as a virtual display keyboard and the second display is hidden as an internal roller that can be expanded using a handle. This is a different and new concept which shows that Apple might be the last one to come with a foldable device but it might arrive with the best device in the segment.
