ASUS ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro Geekbench Listings Revealed; ROG Phone 8 Pro Key Specs Tipped
The Taiwanese tech company, ASUS, will soon be unveiling the ROG Phone 8 series devices and updates regarding the upcoming smartphones have started to arrive. Both the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro smartphones have now made it to the Geekbench database. The key specs of the ROG Phone 8 Pro device have also been tipped.

ASUS ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro – Geekbench Listings
Two models of the ASUS ROG Phone 8 series have made it to the Geekbench database with model numbers – “ASUS_AI2401_A” and “ASUS_AI2401_D”. The previous Bluetooth SIG certification of the ROG Phone 8 series devices revealed that the model number “ASUS_AI2401_A” will be for both the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro smartphones, whereas only the ROG Phone 8 will bear the model number “ASUS_AI2401_D”.
The “ASUS_AI2401_D” device has achieved single-core and multi-core scores of 2271 points and 7360 points, while the “ASUS_AI2401_A” scored a little less with 2213 points and 7048 points for its single-core and multi-core performances, respectively.
It is the 16GB RAM variant of the “ASUS_AI2401_A” that has been listed. On the other hand, the ASUS_AI2401_D is revealed to have a 24GB RAM variant. Both the devices have the Android 14 OS preinstalled in them, and have motherboards with the codename “pineapple”. The core architecture of the two is however different. The ASUS_AI2401_A has a configuration of 1+5+2 cores, the ASUS_AI2401_D comes with a configuration of 1+3+2+2 cores. The primary clock speeds are 3.19GHz and 3.30 GHz respectively for the two.
Do keep in mind that the 24GB RAM variant of the ROG Phone 8 smartphone is also claimed to be marketed as the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro – Tipped Specifications
Coming to the tipped specifications of the ROG Phone 8 Pro smartphone, the device is expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm, and will probably run on the ROG UI custom skin based on the Android 14 operating system. The device is also said to be coupled with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
It may feature an AMOLED display panel with a 6.82″ screen size and 165Hz refresh rate support. A front-facing camera of 32MP and a triple rear camera setup are also expected on the device. The smartphone might be backed with a 6000 mAh battery and is likely to have a 65W wired fast charge support. Other expected specifications include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity features.
As far as the release date of the smartphone is concerned, it is probably going to take place before or in April 2024. To add, the brand has already teased the vanilla ROG Phone 8, pointing to its approaching launch.
