ASUS ROG Phone 9 Series Global Launch Scheduled for Next Month; Processor and Design Revealed
ASUS, the Taiwanese tech company, will be launching its latest ROG-series gaming smartphones soon in the global market. The official announcement has been made by the brand, and the processor and design of the upcoming devices have been revealed.

ASUS ROG Phone 9 Series – Launching on 19th November
ASUS’ previous ROG Phone 8 series which comprised of the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro smartphones were unveiled early this year in the month of January 2024, and the next ROG Phone 9 series has now been officially confirmed to make its global debut next month on the 19th of November 2024 at 7PM in Taipei/12PM in Berlin/6AM in New York. Along with this, the teaser video shared also confirms that the ROG Phone 9 series will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and will be equipped with many AI capabilities.
The upcoming ROG Phone 9 series, just like before, is expected to include two models – the ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro smartphones, and most likely, they will both share similar design specs. To add, it is the design of the ROG Phone 9 that has been revealed.
Firstly, the new ROG Phone 9 design shows a certain resemblance with the previous ROG Phone 8 series devices, and features a gaming-centric theme with LED lights at the rear. The unique camera module is square-like in shape, with three camera sensors and an LED flash. The ROG branding is present both inside the camera module and at the bottom of the rear panel. Taglines like ‘-DARE TO PLAY-‘ and the ASUS ROG logo at the center further compliment the gaming design.
The display seems to be flat with slim bezels, but has a slightly thicker chin. There is also a centrally-aligned punch-hole selfie camera on the display. The volume rocker and the power button can also be seen on the right side panel. The side panels are rounded, unlike most recent smartphones that came with flat side panels. Antenna lines can also be spotted along the sides.
Finally, apart from the powerful processor, AI capabilities, and gaming features, the upcoming ROG Phone 9 series is also said to offer better battery efficiency. The previous ROG Phone 8 Pro was praised for its extended battery life, and maybe this time, a much improved and longer battery life can be expected on the soon-to-be-launched smartphones as well.
