[Exclusive] Sony Xperia 10 V renders, 360-degree video leaked, checkout design, key details
Sony is reportedly gearing up to launch new Xperia phones, such as the Xperia 5 V and Xperia 10 V. The 10 V will be a mid-range device like last year’s Xperia 5 IV, while the 5V might debut as a flagship phone running on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The rumour mill has already leaked some information about the 5 V. Now, we bring you some exclusive details about the Xperia 10 V. We have teamed up with a reputed industry insider, Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka. OnLeaks), to share the CAD-based renders and 360-degree video of the 10 V.
Sony Xperia 10 V design
The Xperia 10 V renders show that its design will be almost the same as that of its predecessor. Most mid-range phones from other brands either have a waterdrop notch or a punch-hole design for the display. However, Sony continues to offer screen borders on its flagship as well as mid-range phones.
The Xperia 10 V side bezels are slim, but the forehead is thick enough to house a selfie camera and an earpiece mesh, which seems to double up as a speaker. Like the previous generation, the top bezel of the 10 V may also house an RGB LED indicator, an ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor.
The bottom bezel, which is thicker than the top bezel, is equipped with another speaker. The Xperia 10 V had only one speaker, but the successor model will offer stereo output thanks to the presence of dual front-firing speakers.
Moving to the edges, the right side of the Xperia 10 V has a volume rocker and a power key, which seems to be integrated with a fingerprint sensor. A SIM slot is available on the left side of the phone.
The top edge of the Xperia 10 V has a microphone and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the bottom, there is another microphone along with a USB-C port. The back panel of the phone has a triple camera unit with an LED flash above it. The rear shell also features logos for NFC, Sony, and Xperia.
We have learned through OnLeaks that the Xperia 10 V will have a flat display of around 6.1 inches. The Xperia 10 V’s other specifications are unknown.
The device measures 153.3 x 68.4 x 8.5mm, and its thickness increases to 9.4mm at the rear camera bump. In comparison, the predecessor model has dimensions of 153 x 67 x 8.3 mm. Here is a 360-degree video to give a better look at its design.
Sony is yet to confirm the details of its next-generation Xperia phones. Since the Xperia 10 V was announced in May 2022, it is likely that its successor may debut around the same time this year.
