Galaxy Z Fold 6 to weigh same as OPPO Find N3, claims leak

The Vivo X Fold 3, which debuted last month in China weighing in at 219 grams, is the lightest foldable phone available in the market. The trend in the foldable phone market is to launch lighter models as compared to their predecessors. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Ice Universe, reveals that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will weigh less than the Galaxy Z Fold 5 from last year.

According to the tipster, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will weigh only 239 grams, which means it will be 15 grams lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 5 which weighs 254 grams. To put it into context, its weight will be identical to the vegan leather variant of the Find N3. He also claimed that it has a 4,400mAh battery.

He further said through another Weibo post that it will measure 5.6mm when unfolded and 12.1mm in the folded state. Both internal and external screens feature improved resolutions, with the internal screen measuring 7.6 inches (7:6 ratio) and the external screen at 6.3 inches (22:9 ratio).

According to other reports, the  Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have an anti-reflective screen like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. In addition, it is also expected to feature Gorilla Glass Armor protection and a titanium frame like the S24 Ultra.

Under the hood, it is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset. The device may ship with up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of internal storage, and support 25W wired charging. The leaked CAD renders of the device have revealed it will be slightly shorter and wider than the Z Fold 5. It will continue to feature a triple camera system.

Rumours are rife that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be unveiled by early July. Alongside it, the company is also expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. At present, there is no clarity on how the Ultra variant will differ from the regular version. In addition, the same event is also likely to see the arrival of the company’s first smart ring dubbed the Galaxy Ring.
