This is the brief report of the Oppo INNO Day 2022 launch event. The event started with the welcome by Zend Zijing who is the Head of the OPPO Health Lab. This event was to introduce users all across the world to the innovations and projects that Oppo has been working on for the past few years. But before it came a series of those innovations that set the milestone for Oppo. The very first in the series came Oppo X 2021 which is Oppo rollable phone. The second one was Oppo MariSilicon X and then came Oppo Find N Flexion Hinge which will soon be launched in the market. Last but not least, Oppo commercially made available Oppo first assisted reality glasses Oppo Air Glass. This Oppo Air Glass worked as a teleprompter for the Zend during the event.
It has been designed in such a way that you won’t be able to distinguish the normal and this Oppo Air Glass that weighs only 38g. These glasses won’t only help in vision correction but also give you the freedom to customize it in your way. During the event, we got to know that Air Glass 2 comes with an improved microphone and micro projector. This Air Glass will help you to listen to music and see anything you want on it. You can translate in real-time and can convert it into voice. He also mentioned these futuristic products won’t be just a novelty but a common accessory for users Oppo has finally gathered 500m+ users and its products are sold in 60+ countries.
Oppo thanked users all across the world who have helped them to stay motivated and innovate better for the world. And this ethos has led Oppo to understand that inspiration matters. He also introduced the OPPO Research Institute Innovation Accelerator. Under the hood of this, they called for innovative suggestion from people all across the world that solves the issue of the digital world. And out of 536 suggestions, they chose the top 10 suggestions. These suggestions have been taken care of and are developed to give it a shape. He also introduced 3+N+X which is a technological developing strategy that they will work upon. The 3 represent hardware, software, and services.
Then the stage was taken by Jiang Bo who is the senior director at OPPO. He started with the advancement of Oppo in chip technology. He mentioned Oppo’s first self-developed dedicated imaging NPU, MariSilicon X. This feature has enabled Oppo users to enjoy 4K Ultra Night Video and 4K Ultra HDR. A second member of the MariSikicon family was unveiled during the event, the Bluetooth audio SoC Mari Silicon Y. It is a breakthrough in Oppo’s audio technology. This is to revolutionize the world of audio with its best quality sound transfer that is AI-based.
After elaborating on this chip stage was taken by Ye Yuchen who is the Senior Director of OPPO. She emphasized more on Oppo’s advancement in health care. She shared some of the projects that Oppo has been working on for the healthy lifestyle domain. It was last year when Oppo established Oppo Health Lab. The first outcome that came out of this Lab was Oppo Sense. It is nothing but a set of algorithms to enhance the accuracy of health data collection on smartwatch devices. Oppo has also established O health, a sub-brand that is aimed at bringing convenient health services to users. Under this sub-brand, they came up with the OHealth H1 which is a family health monitor.
This device combines multiple sensing modalities including blood oxygen, ECG, heart rate, Auscultation, and body temperature. This device is compact and comfortable that weighs only 95g. It has been designed in such a way that it becomes a part of life and people keep a track of their life modalities normally.
