Google Pixel 9a Sale Date in India Confirmed Via Flipkart Listing; Landing Page Now Reveals More Specs

The California-based smartphone maker – Google officially announced its Pixel 9a smartphone last month in March 2025, however due to a last minute quality check, the Pixel 9a release in the market was delayed. However, later the brand via a blog post confirmed the dates for its market availability.

Google’s Pixel 9a smartphone has already been made available in a few global markets, and in the next few days it will be reaching more regions too. In the Indian market, the official sale date for the smartphone has been confirmed via Flipkart and the landing page now reveals more about the latest device’s specs and features. As previously revealed, the sale will go live in India next week itself (in four days).

Google Pixel 9a – Official Sale on 16th April 2025 in India

Next week on the 16th of April 2025 at 12PM noon, Google will be officially beginning its Pixel 9a sale in India as expected and it will be available for purchase via the Flipkart shopping platform as a Flipkart Unique product. Indian customers as revealed earlier will be able to get this smartphone in 8GB/256GB storage option and Porcelain (White)/Iris (Blue)/Obsidian (Black) colors. Its price is also pointed out to be INR 49,999.

The Google Pixel 9a with Google Gemini is being teased with the tagline – ‘Where AI magic meets durable design’, and the Flipkart landing page previously teased specs like ace photography (improved image capturing capability), Magic Editor (re-frame/crop/expand images), Gemini (built-in AI assistant), design durability (IP68-rated), and dependable battery backup (up to 30 hours battery life).

Now, more camera features such as Add Me, Macro focus, and Best take have been teased. Gemini features have also been teased, revealing features like built-in AI assistance, accessibility across Google apps, natural two-way conversation, and image generation with prompts. Its three color choices have also been teased, along with its design. The IP68-rated body, all-day battery life offering up to 30 hours usage time, and 7 years of OS and security updates have again been teased as well. In terms of after-sale service, 1 year warranty, first 14 days replacement policy, same day repair availability, and 24/7 chat/callback support will be offered.

Just to add, as of now the Google Pixel 9a has been made available in the US, Canada, and UK. On the 14th of April 2025, it will be released for sale in Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, France, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Finland. Later on the 16th of April, apart from India, it will also be made available in Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia as well. Also, while not in India, the Google Pixel 9a is available in an 8GB/128GB storage option and Peony (Pink) color choice too.
