Google Pixel 9A to go on sale in India on 16th April; Roll-out details for several other markets also revealed

Google has already unveiled its much-anticipated Pixel 9A smartphone, but the release of this device was delayed as the company was checking on a component quality issue that’s affecting a small number of Pixel 9A devices. It was revealed that the device will be made available sometime in April, but the exact dates were not announced.
Well, the company has finally confirmed the roll-out details of Pixel 9A for several markets, including India.

The device will go on sale on the following dates-
- April 10th– Canada, US, and UK
- April 14th– Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, France, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Finland
- April 16th– Australia, India, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia
For global markets, Pixel 9A is priced at USD 499 for the 128GB variant and USD 599 for the 256GB variant.
Google Pixel 9A: Availability in India
The device will be made available via Flipkart. It will arrive in Iris, Porcelain, and Obsidian colors. There will be a single storage option- 8/256GB priced at Rs 49,999. It is said that as part of the launch offer, there will be a limited period cashback offer of Rs 3000 and 24 months of No Cost EMI from selected banks and financing partners like HDFC, IDFC, and Bajaj Finserv.
Google Pixel 9A: Specifications
Pixel 9a features a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display with a 1080 x 2424 resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a smooth 60–120Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen, which reaches up to 2,700 nits peak brightness for better visibility in bright conditions. Google-powered the Pixel 9a with its Tensor G4 processor, pairing it with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage to ensure smooth performance for daily tasks and multitasking.
For photos and videos, Google equipped the Pixel 9a with a 48-megapixel main rear camera, featuring a 1/2-inch sensor, optical image stabilization (OIS), closed-loop autofocus, and an f/1.7 aperture. The camera also supports Super Res Zoom up to 8x. Alongside it, the phone includes a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture, providing flexibility for wide-angle shots.
For selfies and video calls, the Pixel 9a sports a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture, ensuring sharp and clear images. The device also records 4K video at 30/60 fps and offers AI-powered photography features like Macro Focus, Add Me, and Best Take to enhance image quality.
A 5,100mAh battery keeps the Pixel 9a running for over 30 hours on a single charge. The device supports 23W wired charging and Qi wireless charging, offering flexibility for users. Google built the Pixel 9a with durability in mind, giving it an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and a satin metal frame with a fingerprint-resistant coating.
