The next Pixel Fold 2 device is already in the works and we had previously come across the render images that showcases its design aspects. Now, the 5K CAD-based renders and the 360° video of this upcoming foldable has been shared online (thanks to Smartprix and @OnLeaks).

Here’s more about it.

Google Pixel Fold 2 – Render Images and 360° Video

Firstly, this newly shared render images and 360° video perfectly aligns with the previous images, further revealing more about its design and features. This device will be larger when compared to the previous generation model with larger inner and cover displays. The inner display is said to measure 7.9″(8.1″ with corners), while the cover display is 6.4″(6.6″ with corners). Notably, there is the right side-aligned punch-hole selfie camera on the inner display, whereas the cover screen features a centrally-aligned punch-hole front camera. In total, the device is pointed out to measure 155.2 x 77.1 x 10.54 mm in size when folded and 155.2 x 150.2 x 5.27 mm when unfolded.

Coming to the rear, as was noted earlier, instead of the horizontal camera visor, a protruding rectangular-shaped camera module is present. The recent report also states that there are only 3 cameras, along with some sensors at the rear. The LED flashlight is also placed within the camera module.

On the right side panel, as always there is the power button and volume rocker, and at the bottom we can spot the microphone holes, speaker grilles, USB-type-C port, and the card tray. On top, speaker grilles and an antenna band are present.

Speaking about its expected specifications, the Tensor G4 chipset, up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, Android 14 operating system, and 7-years of software updates are being anticipated.

Regarding its launch, it is mentioned to take place on the 27th of June 2024 at the brand’s I/O developer conference event as per the recent report. However, considering the Tensor G4 chipset presence, previous reports stated that the launch could be likely in the month of October 2024, along with the Pixel 9 series devices.
