The Chinese consumer electronics maker, Honor unveiled its Magic V2 foldable smartphone yesterday, on the 12th of July 2023, at the major product launch event conducted in China. The latest foldable device from the brand received a great response for its properly designed form factor, specifications, and features. Comparing the device to one of the other premium foldable now available in the market and also to an iPhone device, Honor’s Magic V2 proved to be the best in terms of its thin and lightweight design.
Apart from the Magic V2, the brand also unveiled an Ultimate version of the smartphone yesterday, the Honor Magic V2 Ultimate. The Ultimate version of the device is more premium in nature compared to the Magic V2.

Honor Magic V2 Ultimate
Honor’s Magic V2 comes in four color choices of Elegant Black, Velvet Black, Purple, and Yunxia Gold. Speaking about the two black color variants, one of them has a glass back body(Elegant Black) and looks similar to the Purple color variant whereas the other has a faux leather(Velvet Black) rear panel. The Magic V2 Ultimate, design-wise is more similar to the Velvet Black colour variant with faux leather rear panel.
The Magic V2 Ultimate also features the Black faux leather rear panel but unlike the Magic V2, the Magic V2 has an Honor branding that is Golden in color along with a much more prominent Golden highlight around its camera module. The device is also thinner and more light in weight compared to the glass back Magic V2.
Coming to its specifications, the Honor Magic V2 Ultimate has the same specifications as the Magic V2 but, the device offers a larger internal storage compared to the other. The Magic V2 comes in 16GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB storage options whereas the Honor Magic V2 Ultimate offers a storage option of 16GB/1TB(only).
Regarding its price, the 16GB/256GB and the 16GB/512GB variants of the Magic V2 are priced at CNY 8,999 and CNY 9,999. Compared to the high-end model of the Magic V2, the Magic V2 Ultimate has a price that is CNY 2,000 more than the former. The Honor Magic V2 Ultimate is priced at CNY 11,999.

The pre-sales of the Honor Magic V2 smartphone has already begun on the day of its launch itself and the device will be made available for open sales starting from the 20th of July, 2023. It will be made available through Honor’s official shopping platforms and through other authorized sellers.
