Here’s the List of Smartphones Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor: Check it Out

One of Qualcomm’s latest chipsets, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers its devices with the capability of offering the best performance. This article will be about some of the smartphones now available on market with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Xiaomi 13

The Xiaomi 13 smartphone launched on the 14th of December, 2022 is powered by the Qualcomm (SM8550-AB) Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm) chipset with a primary clock speed of 3.2GHz. The device also runs on the Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom user interface and is equipped with the Adreno 740 GPU.

Speaking about its other specifications, the device features an AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.36 inches and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It also has a refresh rate of 120Hz and is protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The device also has a 50MP + 10MP + 12MP triple camera setup on its rear with a front-facing camera of 32MP. It is also backed by a 4500 mAh battery which supports a wired fast charge feature of 67W, a wireless fast charge feature of 50W and a 10W reverse wireless charging feature.

Xiaomi 13 Pro

The next smartphone on the list is the Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone which is also powered by the Qualcomm (SM8550-AB) Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm) chipset.  It runs on the Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom user interface just like the Xiaomi 13 and has the same Adreno 740 GPU.

The smartphone also features a 6.73″ LTPO AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone on its rear has a 50.3MP + 50MP + 50MP triple camera setup along with a 32MP selfie camera.

The device is also equipped with a 4820 mAh battery which supports a 120W wired fast charge. It also supports a 50W wireless fast charge feature and a 10W reverse wireless charging feature.

REDMAGIC 8 Pro

The REDMAGIC 8 Pro smartphone, launched on the 28th of December, 2022, is also equipped with the Qualcomm (SM8550-AB) Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm) chipset with a primary clock speed of 3.2 GHz. It operates on the Android 13 based Redmagic OS 6 custom user interface and has the Adreno 74o GPU.

About the other specifications, the device has a 6.8″ AMOLED display panel with a screen resolution of 1116 x 2480 pixels.

On its rear, it has a triple camera setup with a 50MP wide camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The smartphone also has a 16MP selfie camera as well.

The REDMAGIC 8 Pro smartphone has a battery backup of 6000 mAh which supports a fast charge feature of upto 65W. The Chinese variant of the smartphone supports a fast charge feature of upto 80W.

Vivo X90 Pro+

The Vivo X90 Pro+ smartphone which was released on the 6th of December 2022 also has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm) chipset. Two variants of the smartphone is available. The global variant runs the Android 13 based Funtouch OS custom user interface whereas the Chinese variant operates on the Origin OS 3 based on the Android 13 operating system.

Regarding its other specifications, the Vivo X90 Pro+ features an LTPO4 AMOLED display with a screen size of 6.78 inches. It has a screen resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

It also has a quad camera setup on its rear with a 50.3MP wide angle camera, a 64MP periscope telephoto camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 48MP ultrawide camera. The device also has a 32MP front-facing camera as well.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ also has a battery backup of 4700 mAh which supports a fast charge feature of upto 80W and a 50W wireless fast charge feature. It also supports a reverse charging feature as well.

iQOO 11

Vivo’s iQOO 11 smartphone was released on the 8th of December 2022 and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm) chipset with a primary clock speed of 3.2 GHz. The global variant of the smartphone operates on the Android 13 based Funtouch OS 13 whereas the Chinese variant runs on the Android 13 based Origin OS 3.

iQOO 11 Pro

The other smartphone in the iQOO 11 series, the iQOO 11 Pro, released later on the 21st of December 2023 also comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and similar to the iQOO 11 comes in two variants. The global variant operates on the Android 13 based Funtouch OS 13 whereas the Chinese variant runs on the Android 13 based Origin OS 3 custom user interface.

Regarding the other specifications of the smartphone, the iQOO 11 Pro features an LTPO4 AMOLED display with a screen size of 6.78 inches. The device also has a screen resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz.

Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series smartphones released on the 17th of February 2023 are also powered by the Qualcomm (SM8550-AC) Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with a primary clock speed of 3.36GHz. All three devices run on the Android 13 based One UI 5.1 custom user interface.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 is the low-end smartphone of the series which comes with a 6.1″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and has a 50MP triple camera setup on its rear. The device also has a front-facing camera of 12MP and is equipped with a 3900 mAh battery supporting a 25W fast charge feature. The device also supports a 15W wireless charging feature and a 4.5W reverse charging feature.

The S23 Plus has a larger display panel with a screen size of 6.6 inches and has the same 50MP triple camera setup on its rear. The smartphone also has a larger battery backup of 4700 mAh and supports a 45W fast charge feature along with a 15W wireless charging feature and a 4.5W reverse charging feature.

The top-end model, which is the Galaxy S23 Ultra has the largest display with a screen size of 6.8 inches and has a 200MP quad camera setup on its rear. The device also has a 12MP camera for selfies and a 5000 mAh battery which supports a 45W fast charge feature. It also has a wireless fast charging feature of 15W and a 4.5W reverse wireless charging feature.

OnePlus 11

The OnePlus 11 is the last smartphone on this list with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The smartphone was released on the 9th of January, 2023, and runs on the Android 13 based OxygenOS 13 custom user interface. The Chinese variant of the smartphone operates on the ColorOS 13 custom user interface based on the Android 13 operating system.

About its other specifications, the OnePlus device has an LTPO3 Fluid AMOLED display with a screen size of 6.7 inches and a screen resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels. It also has a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The smartphone on its rear has a 50MP + 32MP + 48MP triple camera setup along with a front facing camera of 16MP.

The device is also equipped with a 5000 mAh battery which supports a 100W fast charge feature. The US variant supports an 80W fast charge feature.
