We have been talking about the HMD Barbie Flip phone, from being spotted on the MIIT to TENAA certifications. Well, the day has finally arrived as now HMD has launched this smartphone in the European market.

HMD Barbie Phone Specs
The design bears a striking resemblance to the Nokia 2660 Flip phone. The front features a mirror-finish display with the camera and LED flash situated in the top left corner. The back boasts a large Barbie badge, and the device comes with a QWERTY keypad. This mobile phone appears to be primarily targeted at girls.
Regarding specifications, the inner screen measures 2.8 inches with QVGA resolution, whilst the cover display is 1.77 inches with QQVGA resolution. The phone’s dimensions are 108.4 mm in height, 55.1 mm in width, and 18.9 mm in depth. It is lightweight, weighing just about 123.5 gms. Under the bonnet, you’ll find a UNISOC T107 SOC running on the S30+ operating system. It features 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB via a microSD card.
The device also offers a Barbie-themed user interface, complete with Easter eggs and apps such as Malibu Snake, Digital Balance Tips, and Barbie Meditation. A notable feature is the ‘Bestie button’, which you can assign to one of your best friends for direct calling.
Additional features include an MP3 player, FM radio, a single speaker, and a microphone. The battery has a capacity of 1450 mAh, with HMD claiming it provides up to 9 hours of talk time. Furthermore, the phone supports LTE Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, and comes equipped with a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port.
In the box, you will find two extra back covers, stickers and gem stickers, a beaded lanyard with attachable charms, and a cleaning cloth. However, no wall charger is included, as HMD states that this is better for the environment. But the irony is you can buy it on your own.
Pricing and availability
It is currently available on the HMD UK website for £99.99. It is offered in a single Pink Power colour option and comes with a memory configuration of 64MB RAM and 128MB storage.
