HMD Key with 6.52-inch Display, 2 Years of Updates Launches at £59
HMD has launched its new budget phone, the HMD Key, which runs Android 14 Go. The phone brings basic features at an entry-level price point, with a promise of quarterly security updates for two years starting from launch.
HMD Key Specs
It has a 6.52-inch HD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and 460 nits brightness. It uses a Unisoc 9832E processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, expandable to 128 GB via microSD card. The phone can use up to 2GB of storage as virtual RAM to run more apps.
The camera setup includes an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 5MP front camera. Camera modes include Portrait, Night, Pro, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, and Panorama. A 4000mAh battery powers the phone with 10W charging, rated for up to 47 hours of use.
The phone comes with standard features like a headphone jack, FM radio, USB-C port, and IP52 rating. It supports 4G networks and has face unlock. HMD will provide security updates every three months for two years.

The HMD Key comes in Icy Blue and Midnight Black colors, with a screen protector, case, headset, and charger included. It is available on hmd.com for £59 starting from January 2nd 2025 in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
