HMD Silently Launches HMD Aura Smartphone In Australia At $179

HMD has recently unveiled its HMD Pulse+ Business Edition smartphone in the global markets that was launched with features that primarily focus on business purposes. Well, the company has now unveiled a new smartphone in the Australian market- HMD Aura, there was no official announcement regarding the launch of this device nor has anything been revealed on the HMD Australia website.

But the HMD Aura smartphone is currently available for sale via Australian retailer JB Hi-Fi. This smartphone arrives as a mid-range device with very basic specifications.

The device features a 6.56-inch HD+ display that offers a 60Hz refresh rate and arrives with a V-notch selfie camera. It is powered by a Unisoc SC9863A1 processor that is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It runs on Android13 OS and the company has promised to release 2 years of security patches.

The smartphone is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging only. It packs up a 13MP rear main camera and a 5MP front camera. Other features include- a 3.4mm audio jack, WiFi 4, Bluetooth 4.2, and a rear fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone is priced at $179. It comes in Glacier Green and Indigo Black color options. For now, this device is only available in Australia but HMD might launch this latest device in other markets too.
