HMD smartphone’s first look revealed ahead of launch

HMD Global which is the license holder for Nokia-branded smartphones was reported to launch smartphones with its brand name. Later last year, a report came out that it could launch the smartphone in 2024. And now finally the first look of the HMD smartphone has been leaked in an exclusive report by 91mobiles.

Let’s get to know about it in detail.

HMD smartphone’s official renders

As per the report, the two HMD smartphones have earlier appeared on the IMEI database with the model number N159V and TA-1585. The report mentions that the renders belong to an HMD smartphone with model number N159V.

As per the renders the smartphone has matte finished black colour rear. Though the material of the rear panel is not known but absence of antenna lines does suggest it can be of plastic. The front side of the smartphone is shown to have a flat display with a punch-hole cutout. Power and volume buttons are on the right side of the renders. The rear side of the smartphone renders also has an HMD logo mark. The dual camera setup is arranged on the black rectangular island with LED flash.

The design of the handset suggests that the company can launch this smartphone in the lower midrange. And there are chances that both of the model numbers belong to the same phone. The company co-founder and chairperson, Jean Francois Baril himself clarified on LinkedIn earlier that the company will continue to make Nokia-branded smartphones though it would also enter the segment.

He wrote, “Now we are ready for the next step on our journey – to enter the market independently as a force to create a new world for telecommunications focused on consumer needs”.
