Honor 200 series launch date confirmed, design, color option revealed
On Nov. 23, 2023, Oppo unveiled the Reno 11 series, whereas Honor announced the Honor 100 lineup in China. Recently, Oppo confirmed that it will take off covers from the Reno 12 and 12 Pro on May 23 in China. Today, Honor released a teaser video to confirm the design and launch date of the Honor 200 series.
The teaser video confirms that the Honor 200 series will be announced on May 27 in China. It is still unclear whether the device shown in the teaser is the Honor 200 or 200 Pro.
To recall, the Honor 100 and 100 Pro sported different designs for their camera modules. The camera module of the Honor 200 appears to be a refined version of what was seen on the Honor 100 Pro. Both Honor 200 and the Honor 200 Pro will likely be available in black, pink, white, and blue shades.
Recent leaks have claimed that the Honor 200 and 200 Pro could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively. Both devices are also expected to support 100W fast charging.
As per a new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, the Honor 200 series has a 50-megapixel main camera featuring a 1/1.3-inch OmniVision OV50H camera sensor. It will come with an f/1.9 aperture and OIS support. A telephoto camera with a 50x digital zoom is likely to accompany it. Both phones may pack a 5,200mAh battery. According to other reports, the Honor 200 will have a single front camera, and the 200 Pro is likely to feature a dual selfie camera setup. Both phones are expected to feature a quad-curved OLED panel.
