Honor Magic 6 Pro showcased with Honor Capsule feature, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 officially confirmed

During the 2023 Snapdragon Summit by Qualcomm, Honor CEO Zhao Ming confirmed key details about the upcoming Honor Magic 6. He confirmed that the phone will use the brand-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and come with Honor’s own On-Device LLM AI model with seven billion parameters for generative AI, which is a big step for the smartphone industry.

Reports, including live shots, have revealed that the Honor Magic 6 Pro will have a pill-shaped cutout on the display. It appears that the same device was showcased in a video clip that was shown at the Snapdragon Summit.

The company confirmed that the Honor Magic 6 series will be equipped with the On-Device AI model, promising to enhance the overall user experience and unlock new possibilities for applications. For instance, it demonstrates a new feature called Magic Capsule that leverages Qualcomm’s low-power chips and Honor’s eye-tracking technology for multi-modal interaction. This allows users to interact with notifications and apps simply by glancing at them, providing added convenience.

Another feature highlighted in the presentation is the ability to create themed videos by providing prompts to the YoYo assistant. Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and powered by the MagicOS 8 system, the Honor Magic 6 series promises to bring exciting innovations to users.

As per reports, the Honor Magic 6 series will be announced before the 2024 Chinese Spring Festival. This indicates that the Magic 6 lineup may debut by late January or in the first week of February.
