Honor Magic 6 Ultimate could be first phone with OmniVision OV50K camera

Honor recently confirmed that it will unveil the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate Edition and the Magic 6 RSR smartphones on March 18 in China. Recent flagship phones such as the OPPO Find X7 Ultra and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra feature the one-inch Sony LYT-900 50-megapixel primary camera. The upcoming Vivo X100 Ultra for the Chinese market is also said to be equipped with the same primary camera. There have been reports that the Magic 6 series will be the first to feature the one-inch camera sensor from OmniVision. A new Weibo post by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed what to expect from the primary camera of the Magic 6 Ultimate.

Shown above is a poster that Honor released via its Weibo account today. Honor said it will introduce a newly upgraded SLR-level super dynamic Eagle Eye camera in the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate Edition and the Honor Magic 6 RSR Porsche design.

This camera incorporates the world’s first car-level LOFIC technology, enabling users to effortlessly capture stunning images in various lighting conditions, including sunrise, sunset, and backlit scenes.

According to DCS, the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate Edition will introduce the OmniVision OV50K which appears to be a one-inch camera sensor. He added that the 50-megapixel main camera boasts an industry-leading dynamic range of 15EV. Enhanced by LOFIC technology, it features an impressively wide aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/2.0.  The Magic 6 Porsche Design is also expected to feature the same primary camera.
