HONOR Teases Samsung with its New Teaser for the Upcoming HONOR Magic 5 Series Smartphones

HONOR Magic 5 series smartphones are launching next month at the MWC 2023 event in Barcelona and prior to its launch, Honor has released a teaser poster.

HONOR’s latest smartphones in the Magic 5 series will launch by the end of February 2023 at the MWC 2023 event which is going to be held in Barcelona.

Ahead of the launch, the company has shared a teaser of the upcoming smartphones. The teaser clearly aims at Samsung and how the company is planning to compete with the South Korean brand.

Samsung is going to release its S23 series smartphones on the 2nd of February in the company’s Unpacked Event. The S series smartphones consist of the brand’s premium smartphones and since HONOR has decided to compete with Samsung, we can expect a smartphone that will match with the S23 series.

As of now there aren’t much details of the Honor Magic 5 smartphones available. But based on the available details of the smartphones, we can expect a premium level smartphone itself.

The Magic 5 series smartphones are codenamed as “Piaget” and will have a smartphone with the model number PGT-AN00 as per the listing in China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(MIIT) website. The series will consist of four smartphones – HONOR Magic 5, HONOR Magic 5 Pro, HONOR Magic 5 Ultimate and the HONOR Magic 5 Lite.

From the leaked renders available online, we can also understand that the HONOR Magic 5 series will retain the circular camera island, however the smartphones will have a different camera alignment when compared to the HONOR Magic 4 smartphones.

The smartphones are also expected to come equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets. The HONOR Magic Lite will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor.

More details of the HONOR Magic 5 series smartphones will be available after its launch.
