Honor X50 GT chipset, display details emerge, expected to launch in October
Honor has just launched the Honor X40 GT Racing Edition in China. It is nothing but the same Honor X40 GT phone with new colours and storage versions. Rumours are rife that the brand is working on two GT-branded phones called the Honor 100 GT and the Honor X50 GT. A leaker has tipped initial information on the chipset and display of the X50 GT.
To recall, the Honor X40 GT features a massive 6.81-inch LCD panel that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone features the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The new leak states that the Honor X50 GT will be equipped with an OLED display.
In addition, the leaker claimed that the X50 GT has the Snapdragon 8+ chip, which appears to be the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the X50 GT.
A recent leak by tipster Digital Chat Station revealed Honor will conduct internal testing of the Honor 100 series in October in China. He also claimed that it would be announced by early November in the home market. Hence, it appears that the Honor X50 GT may launch in October. While there is no word on the specs of the Honor 100 GT, it may also launch in the same month.
In related news, Honor is also said to be working on the Magic 6 series of flagship phones and the Magic Flip foldable phone. These devices are likely to launch in the first quarter of 2024.
