Huawei Pocket 2 key details leaked, reveals satellite messaging, wireless charging, waterproof chassis
Huawei is rumoured to be working on the Huawei Pocket 2, a foldable with a flip-style design. Likely, the device will go official by the end of this month, or probably on Feb. 27, in China. Ahead of the launch, the rumour mill has been steadily leaking key details of the device. In a new leak, a reliable Chinese leaker who goes by the name “Experience More” on Weibo has leaked new details about the Pocket 2.
A recent leak revealed that Huawei’s upcoming pocket-friendly foldable phone will be called the Pocket 2 and not the Pocket S2 or P70 Pocket, as some rumours have been claiming. The Kirin 9000S, a 5G-ready chipset, is reportedly powering the device. It is likely to pack a 4,520mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
It is speculated that the device may come in three shades, such as Black, Rocco White, and Dark Purple. Shown above is a mock render of the Pocket 2’s colour variants.
The new leak reveals the device will arrive with 12 GB of RAM, but there is no word on its storage. It will support wireless charging and satellite connectivity. The latter will only be limited to messaging, and it won’t support two-way calling. It appears that it could be Huawei’s first foldable phone to come equipped with a waterproof build.
The Pocket 2 will come in glass and plain leather options. In addition, the device will also have a special “Art”-branded variant.
