Huawei Pura X Foldable Smartphone Introduced in China at CNY 7499 Starting Price
One among the leading Chinese smartphone makers – Huawei has introduced a new foldable smartphone device in its home market. This latest device comes with a wider design language when compared to other flip-style foldables, and enables its users to operate it both horizontally and vertically.

Huawei Pura X – Introduced in China
The Huawei Pura X smartphone features a 3.5″ OLED cover display with a 1:1 aspect ratio, and it supports a resolution of 980 x 980 pixels, peak brightness of 2500 nits, and variable refresh rate of 1 ~ 120Hz (LTPO). For its main display, a 6.3″ foldable OLED inner display is given with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The main display has 2120 x 1320 pixel resolution, 2500 nits peak brightness, 1 ~ 120Hz variable refresh rate (LTPO 2.0 adaptive), and 1440Hz PWM dimming.
It runs on HarmonyOS 5.0.1 with 40% improved performance over the previous version, and AI capabilities such as Generative AI and AI Eye Movement are equipped within the device. Four storage models are available – 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB Collector’s Edition, and 16GB/1TB Collector’s Edition.
On the camera side, it brings a quad camera system at the rear, sporting a 50MP primary camera (F1.6, OIS, RYYB), 40MP ultrawide camera (F2.2, RYYB), 8MP telephoto camera (F2.4, OIS), and a color camera sensor. There is also a 10.7″ (F2.2) centrally-aligned punch-hole selfie camera too on the inner display.
Regarding its battery and charging specs, it packs a decent 4720 mAh battery (rated value – 4610 mAh) and supports a 66W wired fast charging feature. Additionally, the device also supports 40W wireless charging as well.
About its pricing and availability details, Huawei’s Pura X carries price tags of CNY 7499, CNY 7999, CNY 8999, and CNY 9999 respectively for the 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB (Collector’s Edition), and 16GB/1TB (Collector’s Edition) storage models. Customers in China can get it in five colors choices of Stylish Red, Stylish Green, Moon Shadow Gray, Zero White, and Magic Night Black.
