Huawei to hold a launch event on September 25 in China
Recently, Huawei officially unveiled the Mate 60 series of smartphones in China. Without holding a launch event, the brand listed the Mate 60, Mate 60 Pro, Mate 60 Pro+, and Mate X5 foldable phones on Huawei Mall. Today, the brand released an official confirmation that it will hold a launch event at 2:30 pm (local time) on Sept. 25 in China.
Huawei has not confirmed the details of the devices that will be announced at the upcoming event. It is likely that the brand will talk more about the key features of the Mate 60 series and the Mate X5.
There is a possibility that the brand may also unveil the Huawei Mate 60 Ultimate RS Design, which is said to be a special edition version of the Mate 60 Pro+. In addition, the brand may announce a couple of other products, such as new MatePads, FreeBuds TWS earbuds, and so on. The brand is also said to be working on a Pocket-branded clamshell phone, but it is unclear whether it will be announced on Sept. 25.
The Huawei Mate 60 series and the Mate X5 are the company’s first 5G-enabled devices after the US sanctions. All these devices are equipped with the Kirin 9000s chipset.
In addition, the Huawei Mate 60, Mate 60 Pro, and Mate X5 have support for two-way messaging through satellite connectivity. On the other hand, the Mate 60 Pro+ supports two-way calling via satellite connectivity.
