Infinix Zero Flip Launches Globally, India Release Is Also Expected

Infinix has marked its entry into the foldable smartphone market with the global launch of the Zero Flip, the company’s first flip phone. This new launch represents Infinix’s interest in the growing segment of foldable smartphones. The Zero Flip is expected to be released in the Indian market soon, though specific dates have not been announced.

Infinix Zero Flip features

internal screen is a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED with FHD+ resolution (1080x2640p), offering a 120Hz refresh rate and 1400 nits peak brightness. The external display is a 3.64-inch AMOLED (1056x1066p) with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and capable of 1100 nits peak brightness. Both screens utilise high-frequency PWM dimming. Powered by a Dimensity 8020 processor, the device comes with 8GB RAM, expandable with 8GB virtual RAM, and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

It has a 50MP front-facing Samsung JN1 sensor with autofocus, and a rear setup comprising a 50MP Samsung GN5 main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. Both front and rear cameras support 4K 60fps video recording. Both front and back comes dual flash.

Infinix ZERO Flip Blossom Glow

The Zero Flip houses a 4,720mAh battery with 70W charging and 10W wired reverse charging capabilities. Running on Android 14 with XOS 14.5, Infinix promises two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, JBL dual speakers, and an x-axis linear motor. The device supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and uses a USB-C port. When unfolded, it measures 170.35 x 73.4 x 7.64mm, and when folded, 87.49 x 73.4 x 16.04mm, weighing 195 grams.

Infinix Zero Flip includes integration with GoPro devices through the Works with GoPro program. This feature aims to provide simple operations and seamless connectivity with GoPro devices. The phone offers a dedicated GoPro Mode, allowing users to adjust GoPro device parameters directly. The Zero Flip can also function as a monitor, enabling real-time observation and adjustment of GoPro footage.

This GoPro integration follows a similar feature in the Infinix Zero 40 series recently released globally.

Pricing and Availability

Infinix ZERO Flip will be available starting at $600 (8GB+512GB). It comes in two colour options: Blossom Glow and Rock Black. Infinix has stated that pricing will vary by region, with specific details to be announced at regional launches.
