iPhone 14 triggers false car crash alarms: Here’s what’s happening

The iPhone 14 has the Car Crash Detection feature which supposedly works well. However, this feature is triggering false alarms and accidentally dials 911 in the United States of America. This could take place when the user is riding skates or using a skateboard or doing any other activity which involves movement on wheels. The device is not smart enough to understand the distinction between a real car crash and skateboarding, unfortunately.

Most iPhone 14 devices have the latest iOS 16 updates. 911 has registered an influx of calls mentioning a car crash only to find out that it is an automated false alarm. 911 is super dedicated and does not ignore calls. And then the mess up is caused here.

This might lead to an actual emergency being paid delayed attention. Hence, this is dangerous. The Car Crash detection feature is available on Apple iPhone 14, Apple iPhone 14 Plus, and other iPhones in the iPhone 14 series. It is also available on high-end Apple smartwatches.

The concern is now being discussed with the brand Apple which is a tech giant. Some resolve has to be found to this issue. Otherwise, 911 might be worried about too many cars crashes in the U.S. while there are only a few in reality. The discussion will lead to a solution hopefully soon.
