iQOO 12 Series Smartphones Unveiled in the Chinese Market: Pre-Orders Live
The Chinese smartphone maker, iQOO, after much wait has finally unveiled its latest iQOO 12 series devices in China. As is known, two smartphones have been launched and the pre-orders for the devices are currently live.

The vanilla iQOO 12 smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and has the brand’s self-developed e-sports chip Q1 onboard. The device is also integrated with the Adreno 750 GPU and runs on the Android 14-based OriginOS 4 custom user interface. Three storage variants have also been introduced – 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.
For its display, it has a flat AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.78″, a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels, and a refresh rate of 144Hz.
At its rear, a triple camera setup is present, housing a main camera of 50MP, a periscope telephoto camera of 64MP, and an ultrawide camera of 50MP. A front-facing camera of 16MP is also there for selfies.
Regarding the battery, the smartphone packs a 5,000 mAh battery, which supports a fast charging feature of up to 120W.
Other specifications include 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6/7 with triple band support and Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, a four-zone cooling system, stereo speakers, under-display optical fingerprint sensor, 8.1mm/8.4mm thickness, and 198.5gm/203.7gm weight.
About its price and availability, the 12GB/256GB base model starts at a price of CNY 3,999(unlike what was said before), whereas the top-end 16GB/1TB variant is priced at CNY 4,699. The 16GB/512GB mid variant has a price point of CNY 4,299. All the models will be available in three color choices – Black, Red, and White(BMW M branding).

The iQOO 12 Pro device is also equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, along with the self-developed e-sports chip Q1. It runs on the Android 14 based OriginOS 4 custom skin, and is integrated with the Adreno 750 GPU. The device also comes in three storage options – 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.
The pro model of the series features a curved edge AMOLED display, with a 6.78″ screen size, 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Coming to the cameras, the smartphone sports a triple camera unit with a 50MP main camera, 64MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. A 16MP selfie camera is also present.
The smartphone is also backed by a slightly larger 5,100 mAh battery which supports 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging features. The device also supports 10W wireless reverse charging too.
Other specifications of the device are 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6/7 with triple band support and Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, four-zone cooling system, stereo speakers, under display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, 8.6mm/8.8mm thickness, and 205gm/210gm weight.
The latest iQOO 12 Pro device is priced CNY 4,999, CNY 5,499, and CNY 5,999 respectively for the 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB models. It also comes in the same Black, Red, and White(BMW M branding) colors.
As mentioned, the pre-orders for the devices are currently live, and the newly launched smartphones will be made available to the customers on the 14th of November 2023, next week.
