iQOO 13 Receives UFS 4.1 Storage In China Ahead Of Its Global Launch
Last month iQOO officially unveiled its latest flagship- iQOO 13 in the Chinese market and now the brand has officially announced that this device will make its debut in India on 3rd December, 2024. The microsite for this upcoming smartphone is already live in India.
iQOO 13 when made its debut in China, it arrived with UFS 4.0 storage but now ahead of its upcoming Indian launch, the brand has officially rolled out UFS 4.1 storage for the device via a software update.
The company claims that this new storage module arrives with a defragmentation function while it is said to offer 50% faster app installation speed and 36% faster file copy speed. Though the company has not clarified with which storage module this comparison is done it could be with UFS 4.0 storage. We may see iQOO 13 with this new storage module in the Indian market.
iQOO 13: Specifications (Chinese variant)
The device features a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a 19.8:9 aspect ratio and 93.87% screen-to-body ratio. The screen offers a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, supporting 1.07 billion colors with P3 color gamut and HDR technology. It delivers a contrast ratio of 8000000:1 and supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz with capacitive multi-touch functionality.iQOO has added a new design element called “Monster Halo.” This new customizable lighting system surrounds the camera module and offers 72 different lighting effects. The system is designed to adapt dynamically to gaming scenarios, allowing users to personalize their device’s appearance.
Under the hood, the iQOO 13 utilizes the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite, featuring a 64-bit octa-core processor with frequencies of 4.32GHz for two cores and 3.53GHz for six cores. Built on a 3nm process, the processor works alongside an Adreno 830 GPU. Memory configurations include 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra Quad Channel RAM with UFS 4.0 storage variants of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.
The camera system features a triple 50-megapixel setup with an ultra-sensitive VCS bionic flagship main camera (f/1.88), a telephoto lens (f/1.85), and an ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.0). All three rear cameras support AF and video image stabilization, with the main camera featuring OIS. The system supports up to 30x digital zoom and includes a CMOS sensor. The front camera is a 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.45 aperture.
Battery technology employs a dual-cell series design with a typical capacity of 3075mAh (7.68V), equivalent to 6150mAh (3.84V), and typical energy of 23.62Wh. The rated capacity is 2990mAh (7.68V), equivalent to 5980mAh (3.84V), with rated energy of 22.97Wh. The device supports 120W ultra-fast flash charging with OTG reverse charging. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7 support with 2.4G, 5.1G, and 5.8G frequencies, Wi-Fi Display, 2×2 MIMO, and MU-MIMO capabilities, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port. Security features include ultrasonic 3D fingerprint recognition and Face Wake facial recognition.
