iQOO Neo 9s Pro tipped to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, could be priced under $410
On April 24, iQOO will announce the iQOO Z9, Z9x, and Z9 Turbo smartphones in China. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a scaled-down version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, will power the Turbo model. After the Z9 series, the brand may unveil the iQOO Neo 9s Pro smartphone. The said device was recently approved by China’s 3C certification platform. New leaks have revealed the chipset and potential pricing of the device.
The Dimensity 9300-powered iQOO Neo 9 Pro, which was announced in China in December 2023, has the V2339A model number. Therefore, the recently approved V2339FA device by the 3C authority could potentially be the upcoming iQOO Neo 9s Pro. The certification revealed that the device may ship with a 120W fast charger.
At least two tech bloggers from China have claimed that the iQOO Neo 9s Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. There is a possibility that the rest of the specs of the phone could be identical to the existing Neo 9 Pro (Chinese variant).
In terms of pricing, it is likely that the iQOO Neo 9s Pro may debut as the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone. Currently, the Meizu 21’s 8GB+256GB variant has a price tag of 3,199 Yuan (~$440). Now that the SD8G3 is around six-months old, it is likely that the Neo 9s Pro could be priced under 3,000 Yuan (~$410). Hopefully, the rumour mill will leak more about this phone in the coming weeks. As far as launch is concerned, it may launch in May in China.
