iQOO Z8 and Z8x launched in China at a price of CNY 1,599 and CNY 1,199 respectively, to go live for sale on September 7 2023
We recently received an update that Vivo iQOO is preparing to launch its new Z8 series smartphones in China. The color variants of these smartphones were also revealed, which we covered in our previous coverage. On Thursday, the smartphones, namely the iQOO Z8 and Z8x, were officially launched in China. Currently, the phones are available for pre-order in China, and the sales will commence on September 7th.
The base variant of the iQOO Z8, featuring 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, has been launched at a price of CNY 1,599. The 12 GB + 256 GB variant is available for CNY 1,799, and the 12 GB + 512 GB model is priced at CNY 1,999.
As for the base variant of the iQOO Z8x, equipped with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, it has been introduced at a price of CNY 1,199. The 8 GB + 256 GB variant is being offered for CNY 1,299, while the 12 GB + 256 GB version can be purchased for CNY 1,499.
The major features and specifications of both phones are as follows.
Both the phones feature a 6.64-inch 120 Hz display.
The iQOO Z8 processes on Dimensity 8200 SoC and the iQOO Z8x processes on Octa-Core Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC.
The iQOO Z8 houses a 64 MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor on its rear. On the front, it has a 16 MP camera. The iQOO Z8x on the other hand has a 50 MP main camera and 2MP secondary lens on its rear. On the front, it has an 8 MP camera.
The devices function on Android 13 and OriginOS 3.0.
A 5,000 mAh battery powers the iQOO Z8 and a 6,000 mAh battery powers the iQOO Z8x.
