iQOO Z8x to feature Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, 6000mAh battery
On Aug. 31 (tomorrow), iQOO will announce the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G in India. However, in the Chinese market, the brand is set to launch the iQOO Z8 and the iQOO Z8x smartphones. So far, the brand has confirmed the key details of the iQOO Z8. Today, it confirmed the chipset and battery size of the Z8x.
As revealed by iQOO, the iQOO Z8x will come equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, which is the most recent Snapdragon 6-series chip from Qualcomm. According to iQOO, the chip is capable of achieving more than 680,000 points on AnTuTu benchmarks. While the company has not confirmed it yet, the device is expected to arrive with up to 12 GB of LPDDRR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The Z8x packs a 6,000mAh battery, which can offer continuous video playback for more than 20 hours on a full charge. The company isn’t talking about the fast charging capabilities of the phone. The iQOO Z7x, which debuted last year, came equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging. Rumours are rife that the Z8x will support downgraded 44W fast charging.
Other reports have revealed that the iQOO Z8x will be equipped with a 6.64-inch IPS LCD panel that delivers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have an 8-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 2-megapixel (portrait) dual-camera system on the back. It will offer other features, such as an OriginOS 3.0-based Android 13, a side-facing fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
