Lava Blaze 2 5G launched at a starting price of Rs 9,999 with 90 Hz display and Dimensity 6020 SoC

Homegrown company Lava has finally launched a new budget smartphone in the Indian market named Lava Blaze 2 5G. The company was teasing the handset for a few days calling it a “Lord of 5G”. The Lava Blaze 2 5G comes with a 6.56″ 90 Hz LCD panel and is powered by Dimensity 6020 SoC. The handset packs up to 6GB RAM with 6GB additional virtual RAM.

Specifications of Lava Blaze 2 5G smartphone

The Lava Blaze 2 5G smartphone comes with a 6.56-inch wide HD+ LCD 2.5D curved screen that sports up to 90 Hz refresh rate and 1600×720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor paired with Mali G57 MC2 GPU. The Lava Blaze 2 5G packs up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128 GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. Its memory is expandable up to 1TB with microSD.

The camera section includes a circular camera module with a ring light on the rear that can even work as a notification light. It sports a 50 MP rear camera. There is an 8 MP front camera for selfies. Its inbuilt camera features include modes such as Film, Slow Motion, Timelapse, UHD, GIF, Beauty, HDR, Night, Portrait, AI, Pro, Panorama, Filters, and Intelligent scanning.

The handset runs Android 13 out of the box and is promised to receive Android 14 and two years of quarterly security updates. The device is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. For security, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack that it comes with. Its dimensions are 164.2x76x8.45mm and weighs 203g.

Price and availability

The Lava Blaze 2 5G smartphone comes in three different color options: Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Lavender. Its 4GB + 64 GB variant is priced at Rs 9,999 while the 6GB+128 GB variant is priced at Rs 10,999. Users will be able to purchase the phone from Amazon, the Lava India website, and offline stores from November 9.
