Motorola recently revealed the G05 along with G15, G15 Power, and E15 for the global markets, and now it is coming to the Indian market. As confirmed via the Flipkart microsite, the phone will launch on January 7th, 2025. Additionally, a complete list of specifications has been listed on the microsite. This is another move from Motorola to target the budget segment in the country.
The listing on Flipkart confirms a 6.67″ punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, IP52 water repellent, and water touch technology (you can play with the screen even when your hands are wet). And it is going to be the segment’s first to offer 1000 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, we will see MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme paired with up to 12GB of RAM Boost with 4GB of built-in RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone will boot from Android 15 out of the box, which Motorola claims to be segment’s only. Motorola will only offer 2 years of security patch updates and no OS upgrade with this smartphone.

Featuring a 5200 mAh battery, Motorola claims it will give you around 2 days of battery life (39 hrs talk time, 70 hrs playback, 19 hrs video playback, 28 hrs of internet browsing, 19 hrs of social media) and will ship with 18W fast charging support.
For sound, it has Dolby Atmos dual stereo speakers which will offer 7 times more powerful bass. It will come in two Pantone-curated color options, red and green, with an 8.1mm thickness and 178.8g weight. Pricing and sales details will be available on January 7th, 2025.
