Motorola has launched two new 5G smartphones in Japan: Motorola G53j and Motorola G53y. If we talk about the Motorola G53y it’s nothing but a Y! Mobile network variant of the G53j. Let’s take you through the specifications, features, and prices of both smartphones.
Specs and features
The Motorola Moto G53j/G53y has been launched with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display. Its display sports an HD+ resolution of 720×1600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Both smartphones run My UX-based Android 13 out of the box. Smartphones are equipped with dual stereo speakers.
The Moto G53j/G53y is powered by the Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The devices are backed by 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W charging support in both phones. As far as their camera is concerned both smartphones come with a dual camera setup on the rear side featuring a 2MP macro camera and a 50 MP main camera. The front side of it sports an 8 MP selfie camera for flawless selfies and vlogs.
For security, it has a face lock facility and side facing fingerprint scanner.
Price and availability
The Moto G53j model has been launched in a single variant of 4GB + 128 GB at a price of JPY 34,800 in Japan. It comes in Black and Arctic Silver shades.
The company has not yet made any announcement about the price of the Moto G53y. This smartphone can be launched in Ink Black, Arctic Silver, and Pale Pink. Both of the smartphones will go on sale on June 29.
