Motorola has already released the Motorola Razr 50 series in China, followed by a global launch. The India launch was also speculated to happen soon, as the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra was spotted on the Amazon India category page. However, the launch date was still missing. Thanks to the Amazon India listing, it is now confirmed that the Razr 50 Ultra will launch in India on July 4th, 2024.
The microsite reveals similar specs to those of the Chinese counterpart. However, I have noticed something strange: only the Razr Ultra page is up, and not the vanilla variant. I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but it appears that only the Razr 50 Ultra is coming to India. Let’s hope this turns out to be false, as there is still time until July 4th and anything can happen in between.
On a side note, both the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra have appeared on the Indian BIS certification. So, it is certain that the Razr 50 will also come to the Indian market. At this time, only the launch date and specs have been revealed via the Amazon listing. There are no rumours yet regarding how much Motorola is going to price this smartphone in the Indian market.
Motorola Razr 50 Ultra Specs revealed
As per the below screengrab, it will come with similar specs to the Chinese and global variants. The listing also revealed it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The battery specs show a 4,000 mAh battery with 45W TurboPower charging and 15W reverse wireless charging. I am pleased that Motorola is bringing this smartphone with the same spec sheet as the global and Chinese variants. However, the available RAM and storage options are still a mystery.
Going through the microsite also shows Moto Buds+ along with the Razr 50 Ultra. This could mean they may be included as an early bird offer. The colour variants for the Razr 50 Ultra in India are: Peach Fuzz, Midnight Blue, and Spring Green.
