You might be thinking of the split screen feature that enables a user to open multiple tabs on the screen. It can be a solution but at the cost of reducing the space occupied by each tab on the screen.
What’s the solution
The solution can be Floating windows which are said to be the most useful feature of the Xiaomi Pad 6. As indicated by the name, this launches the app in a window that can float on the screen while you are using another app.
You can simply tap on this floating window and easily move it on the screen. It also makes sure that the second app that you have opened in the floating window takes less space than it would have taken in the split screen.
What are the steps that you need to follow for it:
- Swipe up from the base.
- You will see “Floating Windows” appearing on the screen.
- As soon as you tap on it a number of apps will appear on the screen.
- Now you can tap on the app that you want to open in the floating window.
- This floating window can be resized and moved easily on the screen
- Swipe up the window to close it.
In case you didn’t find the app on the app bar, you can simply long press on the icon of the app and choose the floating window option. Remember all the apps cannot be opened in floating windows but fortunately most of the apps do support it.
