New HMD Smartphone Revealed to Support Connectivity Via Verizon: Shares Tipster

HMD Global, the Finnish tech company, is planning to launch a new HMD-branded smartphone as per what recent reports pointed. A new update has now arrived, suggesting that Verizon, the American telecommunications company, will also be providing network connectivity support for the newly launched smartphone.

Here’s more about it.

HMD Smartphone – Verizon Connectivity Support

This update comes from the tipster on the Twitter/X platform – @evleaks, who has shared the news that Verizon will be carrying this upcoming HMD smartphone. No further details have been provided by the tipster, but with the previously shared render image, the design features of the upcoming HMD smartphone have already been revealed.

HMD’s smartphone based on the rendered image appears to be a mid-range or lower mid-range smartphone, rather than a premium device, probably with a plastic rear panel. The rear panel also features a rectangular-shaped slightly projected camera module which has two circular camera cutouts and an LED flashlight. Also to add, notably we can also find the HMD branding at the rear. The display looks decently large, and it has a centrally aligned punch-hole camera.

About the launch, though an exact launch date is not available yet, HMD is said to unveil its HMD-branded smartphone this year itself in 2024. Even if HMD has planned and started to work and develop smartphones with the HMD moniker, the brand won’t be stopping the Nokia-branded devices and will continue making smartphones with two of these monikers. It was clarified by Jean Francois Baril, the HMD co-founder and chairperson.
