Thanks to the leakster, Evan Blass, new renders of the Google Pixel Fold, Google’s very first foldable device has been revealed. Evan Blass(@evleaks) has posted the new renders on his private Twitter account and the images that have been shared might be meant for promotional purposes.

The new renders of the Pixel Fold, feature the device in black colour (likely to be named Obsidian) and we had previously seen the device in white colour (Chalk). From its renders, a clear idea about its hinge, cover display and rear panel can be received.

Speaking about its rear panel, unlike most of the pixel smartphones which have an edge-to-edge camera module, the Google Pixel Fold has a floating rectangular(curved at the edges) shaped camera module at its rear. The camera module houses the three cameras of the smartphone along with an LED flash and a speaker unit.

Google’s branding can also be seen in a centrally aligned manner on the rear panel. On closer look, at its right side panel, its power button and the volume rocker can be spotted as well.

Now coming to its cover display, we can find a decently large display with curved edges and a centrally aligned punch-hole selfie camera. The cover display also reveals the Pixel Launcher and the Material You-themed app icons.

The hinges on the device seem to be quite intact and slender in shape and the folded image of the Pixel Fold reveals its side profile. We had previously also shared the dimension of the device when folded and when it is compared to the previously launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, is much more thinner.

Google’s Pixel Fold has been tipped by Jon Prosser to have its launch at the I/O developer conference event scheduled next month on the 10th of May, and the tipster has also shared the detailed specification of the upcoming device.

The inner display will feature a 7.6″ foldable OLED display with an aspect ratio of 6:5. It will have a screen resolution of 2208 × 1840 pixels and a pixel density of 380 PPI. Regarding its cover display, the device is to feature a 5.8″ OLED display with a screen resolution of 2092 × 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 408 PPI. The outer display will have an aspect ratio of 17.4: 9. Both of its displays will also be having a refresh rate 120Hz.
