No Xiaomi 14 Lite for India, but it may come with a different moniker claims a report

So as usual the rumour mill started with the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, which was launched recently in China. A recent report stated that Xiaomi will only launch the Civi 4 Pro in the Indian market but with a different moniker. Previously it was rumoured that it may come with Xiaomi 14 Lite moniker and it was further asserted by famous tipster DCS. But now a new report has come out which states that these rumors were false and Xiaomi will launch it with a different moniker.

Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro for India but with what Moniker?

So this new report from Gizmochina claims that Xiaomi may launch this smartphone in the Indian market with the moniker Xiaomi Civi 4. The publication further reported that they have identified the Codename as “chenfeng” and the internal model number as “N9“. The report further claims that there aren’t any notable differences at this stage.  So far Xiaomi hasn’t shared any details regarding when will it be launched.

Previously a model number similar to the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro was also spotted on the BIS certification website. At that time even we called it Xiaomi 14 Lite, the reason is simple when Xiaomi launched Civi 2 in the Chinese market, it came into the global market as Xiaomi 13 Lite. So just from the past, it was expected that Xiaomi may launch Civi 4 Pro as Xiaomi 14 Lite.

But now the new name is kind of confirmed, let’s see what Xiaomi will bring to the Indian audience. Whether it will be called Xiaomi 14 Lite or Xiaomi 14 Civi, it will be a repackaged version of the Civi 4 Pro.
