Nokia’s Latest G42 5G Smartphone Announced in India with its Amazon Page Now Live: Coming Soon
Early this month, Nokia shared a teaser video for a new 5G smartphone device that they are planning to unveil in the Indian market and two days back, the Nokia G42 5G smartphone was listed on the Amazon shopping website of India, along with some of its key specs.
Now, the brand has officially announced the upcoming 5G smartphone and it is the G42 5G smartphone itself. The launch page of the device has also been listed on the Amazon shopping website, officially revealing its specifications and features.
Just to add, this smartphone has already been launched in a few other global markets.

Nokia G42 5G Announced in India
As indicated, the upcoming Nokia smartphone is going to be a 5G device and will be powered by the Snapdragon 480+ 5G octa-core processor from Qualcomm with a primary clock speed of 2.2GHz. Its launch in other markets has also revealed that it will run on the Android 13 operating system and will be integrated with the Adreno 619 GPU. The upcoming device will also have a total RAM of 11GB(6GB inbuilt and 5GB virtual). To add, The brand also assures its users 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates.
The Nokia G42 5G smartphone also features a 16.6cm(6.56″) IPS LCD display panel with an FHD+ screen resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The device also supports OZO Playback, which will elevate the sounds that you want to hear over the ones that aren’t needed.
Coming to the cameras, at its rear, the device has a triple camera setup with a 50MP AI main camera along with a depth(2MP) and a macro(2MP) sensor. A front-facing camera of 8MP will also be present.
Nothing about its battery specs is mentioned on its Amazon listing but, its previous launch in the other global markets has already revealed that it will be backed by a 5000 mAh battery supporting a 20W fast charge feature.
The smartphone will be made available in the Indian market in two colour choices and customers will be able to get the device in So Purple and So Grey colors. It has also been mentioned that the Nokia G42 5G smartphone that will be launched in India will be Indian-made itself and is going to be eco-friendly.
With its launch that is most likely to take place soon, the Indian price of the smartphone, as well as the different storage options of the device, will be revealed to us.
